A Squarespace developer in Dubai for design-led sites that still bring enquiries
What this covers
Squarespace Website Design
A template used as a starting point, not a finished design. Typography, spacing, colour and image treatment are set at site level so your brand reads through, with custom CSS where the built-in options run out.
- Site styles set to your brand
- Custom CSS where the template stops
- Every page checked on a phone
Squarespace Portfolio Sites
Portfolio and project pages for work that sells on images: galleries that load quickly, project pages with enough words to be found in search, and a clear route from admiring the work to asking about it.
- Project and gallery pages
- Images sized and described for speed and search
- An enquiry route on every project
Squarespace Lead Capture & Tracking
Forms that ask only what you need and send it somewhere useful, plus GA4, the Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager installed so each enquiry can be traced to the campaign or search that produced it.
- Short enquiry forms
- GA4, GTM and Meta Pixel
- Form entries passed to email or a CRM
Other CMS options
If Squarespace is not the right fit, these are the alternatives, and the CMS page compares all four side by side.

How a Squarespace site is built in practice
What a Squarespace developer in Dubai is hired for
Squarespace is built for brochure and portfolio sites: a business with a strong visual identity, a modest number of pages and an owner who wants to change them without help. Interior design studios, architects, photographers, boutique consultancies and personal brands are the natural fit. For them, a Squarespace site can look as considered as a custom build at a fraction of the effort to maintain.
The website I built for Choppershoot, a production house, is a good example. It runs on Squarespace so the team can update their showreels and projects themselves, without waiting on a developer for every new piece of work.
The work is not dragging blocks onto a template. It is deciding what the site has to say and in what order, adapting the template so it looks like your brand rather than its demo, and setting up the parts Squarespace leaves to you: the enquiry route, the search settings and the tracking.
Design-led, without looking like the template
Squarespace templates are good, which is the problem: a great many sites use the same ones, and a visitor who has seen the demo recognises it. The fix is in the site styles rather than in decoration. Your type, your spacing, your colours and a consistent treatment for photography change the feel of a template more than any number of added effects.
Where the built-in controls stop, custom CSS fills the gap, used sparingly so the site still updates cleanly. If you need a brand identity before a website, the graphic design and branding work comes first and the site is built from it.
When to choose Squarespace over Wix or WordPress
Choose Squarespace when the site will stay small, the design matters more than features, and you never want to think about hosting, plugins or updates. Choose Wix when you need more from an app market or more layout freedom. Choose WordPress when several people will publish often, you need structured content such as listings, or you want full control over speed and code.
The limits are worth knowing in advance. Squarespace has no plugin ecosystem in the WordPress sense, multilingual and right-to-left support is limited, and some features, such as adding your own code to every page, depend on the plan you are on. None of that matters for a twenty-page portfolio. All of it matters for a bilingual property site with three hundred units.
Lead capture and tracking on Squarespace
A portfolio site that impresses people and never hears from them is a common outcome. Every project page needs a route to an enquiry, the contact form should ask only what you will use, and its entries need to go somewhere you will see and act on within the hour, not to an inbox checked on Fridays.
Squarespace connects to GA4 and the Meta Pixel, and Google Tag Manager can be added through code injection on plans that allow it. Form submissions are tracked as conversions, so if you run paid campaigns you can see what each enquiry cost. Where a CRM is involved, entries are passed to it through an integration and tested end to end before launch.
Speed and search on an image-heavy site
Image-led sites are the ones most likely to be slow on a phone. Squarespace serves images at sizes suited to each screen, but it cannot fix a gallery of forty full-resolution photographs on one page. Fewer, better images per page, a sensible upload size, and pages split by project rather than one endless gallery keep the site quick.
Search needs words. A project page with twelve photographs and one line of text gives Google nothing to rank. Each project gets a title that says what and where, a few honest paragraphs about the brief and the result, and image descriptions that a screen reader and a search engine can both use.
Frequently asked
Squarespace or Wix?
Both suit an owner-run site. Squarespace leads on design: its templates and typography are more refined and it is harder to produce something that looks cluttered. Wix gives more layout freedom and a larger app market, which helps when you need features beyond a brochure. If your work sells visually, Squarespace usually wins. If you need more moving parts, Wix.
Squarespace or WordPress?
Squarespace if you want a polished site you never have to maintain and it will stay small. WordPress if several people will publish often, you need custom content types such as listings, or you want full control of speed, code and hosting. WordPress gives you more and asks more of you in return.
Can I update a Squarespace site myself?
Yes, that is its strength. The editor is visual, sections can be duplicated, and the site styles keep new pages consistent. I set those styles and build reusable sections so that a page you add later looks like part of the same site rather than an addition.
Does Squarespace work for Arabic or bilingual sites?
Not well on its own. Squarespace has limited built-in support for multilingual sites and right-to-left text, so a bilingual site usually needs a translation service on top or two linked sites. If Arabic is central to your audience, WordPress or Strapi is usually the better foundation, and I will say so before we start.
Can Squarespace send enquiries to my CRM?
Yes, with some setup. Squarespace forms can send submissions to email and a few connected services, and an automation tool can pass them on to HubSpot, Zoho or Salesforce with the source attached. It is less direct than on WordPress or a custom build, so I test it end to end before launch rather than assume it works.
Still not sure if this is what you need?
Send it here and it comes straight to me. You will get a straight answer about whether I am the right fit, including when the answer is no.
