How Salesforce integration works on the marketing side
What Salesforce integration in Dubai means on the marketing side
Salesforce is a family of products rather than one. Sales Cloud holds leads, accounts and opportunities and is where sales teams work. Marketing Cloud sends email, hosts pages and holds marketing data. Many projects fail at the join between them: campaigns run in one place, leads are worked in another, and nobody can trace a sale to the email or ad that started it.
My Salesforce work sits on the marketing side of that join. I design EDMs to Marketing Cloud templates, write and lay out sales offer content, build CloudPages, and connect campaigns and lead capture to Salesforce so the source survives into the sales record. The deep configuration of Sales Cloud is a different specialism, and the last section on this page is plain about where my work stops.
EDMs designed to Marketing Cloud templates
An EDM in Marketing Cloud is rarely a one-off. It is built from your templates and content blocks so the next launch, the next payment plan offer or the next event invitation can reuse it without a designer. I design within that system: your brand, your blocks, layouts that work on a phone first, images that are not carrying the message on their own, and alt text for the inboxes that block images.
Sales offer content is where design and copy meet. A launch email has one job, getting a qualified buyer to ask for details, so the offer, the price point where you publish one and the call to action sit at the top, not under three paragraphs of introduction. Every send is tested across the main email clients before it goes to your list, and links carry UTM parameters so GA4 and the CRM can see what each email produced.
CloudPages that show sales data to the people who need it
CloudPages are Marketing Cloud's own web pages. Most companies use them for landing pages and preference centres. I have also built them to show company sales data to sales managers inside a custom application: figures held in Marketing Cloud, presented on a page designed for a quick read on a laptop or tablet rather than a report someone has to export.
That use takes the same care as any internal tool. The page shows only what its audience needs, access is limited to the people who should see it, and the layout is designed around the two or three numbers a sales manager checks first. Campaign landing pages on CloudPages get the same treatment as any other landing page: message match with the email or ad, a short form, and tracking that records the conversion.
Campaigns and lead capture connected to Salesforce
Leads reach Salesforce from website forms through Web-to-Lead or the API, and from Meta and Google lead forms through connectors. Each one carries its source: the campaign, the medium and the UTM values captured on arrival, mapped to fields and to Salesforce Campaigns so reports can group them. Duplicates are checked before a lead is created rather than merged by hand later.
The same submission is tracked in GA4 and the ad platforms through Google Tag Manager, so the numbers in Salesforce and the numbers in the ad accounts describe the same events. This is the same discipline as the CRM integration work on any platform, applied to the system your sales team already uses.
Where my Salesforce work stops
I do not offer Sales Cloud administration, Apex development or complex permission and sharing models. Those belong with a certified Salesforce administrator or a Salesforce partner, and pretending otherwise would put your system at risk. On projects that need both, I work alongside your administrator: they own the platform, I own the email, the pages and the marketing data feeding it.
It is also worth asking whether Salesforce is the right CRM at all. For a smaller team without an administrator, Zoho CRM or HubSpot usually delivers more for less effort. If you already run Salesforce, the marketing side is where most of the untapped value tends to be.
Frequently asked
Do you do Salesforce admin and Apex development?
No, and it is better to know that up front. Deep Sales Cloud configuration, Apex code and complex permission models belong with a certified Salesforce administrator or partner. My work is the marketing layer: Marketing Cloud email and CloudPages, and getting campaign and lead data into Salesforce correctly. On a larger project I work alongside your admin rather than instead of them.
What are CloudPages?
CloudPages is the Marketing Cloud tool for building web pages that read from and write to Marketing Cloud data: landing pages, forms, preference centres and small internal pages. Because they can display data held in Marketing Cloud, they are useful beyond campaigns, for example a page that presents sales figures to the sales managers who need them.
Can you design EDMs for Salesforce Marketing Cloud?
Yes, that is the core of the work. Emails are designed to your Marketing Cloud templates and content blocks, so your team can reuse them for the next offer, built to read properly on a phone and across the main email clients, and tested before they go anywhere near your list.
Can web forms and ad leads go into Salesforce?
Yes. Web-to-Lead, the Salesforce API or a connector can create leads from your website forms, and Meta and Google lead forms can be connected the same way. The important part is the same as on any CRM: the campaign source travels with the lead, and the record is checked for duplicates before it is created.
Is Salesforce worth it for a small team?
Often not. Salesforce is the most configurable of the major CRMs and needs someone to own that configuration. A small sales team without an administrator usually gets more from Zoho or HubSpot, and the CRM integration page compares the three.
