Email Marketing

Email that follows up properly, because the CRM behind it is set up right

Most email problems in the UAE are not writing problems. The sequence fires from a list nobody segmented, to contacts a form dropped in with no source attached, about an offer that stopped running. Email is the last step of a chain, and it fails where the chain does — which is usually two steps earlier, in the form or the CRM.

What this covers

Email Marketing

Email sequences and campaigns that follow up on leads and keep past clients engaged, tied into the same CRM and automation setup.

  • Welcome & nurture sequences
  • Campaign design & copy
  • List segmentation

WhatsApp Marketing

WhatsApp is the default business channel across the UAE. I set up broadcast lists, automated replies, and lead capture flows that meet clients where they already are.

How this works in practice

The list is the problem, not the email

A nurture sequence sent to one undifferentiated list is a broadcast wearing a costume. The person who downloaded a floor plan last week and the person who enquired eighteen months ago and went quiet need different messages, and if the list cannot tell them apart then neither can the sequence. Segmentation is not an advanced feature you add later; it is the thing that decides whether any of it works.

That segmentation has to come from data the forms actually capture. If the enquiry form collects a name and an email and nothing else, there is nothing to segment on, and no amount of writing fixes it. This is why the email work and the CRM work are the same job — I would rather change the form than write cleverer copy around a field that was never collected.

Sequences end, campaigns do not

A welcome sequence has a job and a finish line: take someone who just raised a hand, tell them what they need to decide, and hand them to a human or stop. Sequences that never end are how a list burns out, and an unsubscribe is the polite version of what actually happens — most people just stop opening, and the damage is invisible until a send that matters lands in a promotions tab.

Campaigns are the other half: a launch, a price change, a construction update. They go to a segment rather than the whole list, and they are worth sending precisely because they are not automatic. Getting the split right is most of the work — automate the predictable, write the rest.

Where email sits in a UAE setup

WhatsApp is the default business channel here, and pretending otherwise produces an email programme nobody reads. But WhatsApp is the wrong tool for the long middle of a buying decision — a fourteen-message nurture on WhatsApp is an intrusion, and most people will block rather than unsubscribe. Email carries the contacts who are months from deciding; WhatsApp carries the ones who are minutes from it.

The CRM is what decides which channel a contact is on, and when they move between them. That is a configuration decision rather than a writing one, which is why this page keeps returning to the plumbing rather than the prose.

Deliverability is a technical problem

A well-written sequence in a spam folder is worth nothing. SPF, DKIM and DMARC have to be right on the sending domain, the sending domain usually should not be the same one as your main site for bulk mail, and a new domain needs warming before it carries volume. None of that is marketing work and all of it decides whether the marketing work arrives.

It is also the part most commonly skipped, because it is invisible when it is right and blamed on the copy when it is wrong. I check it before writing anything, and I will tell you if the reason your last campaign underperformed was a DNS record rather than a subject line.

Questions

Frequently asked

Do you have a published email case study?
Not yet. The work on this site is website, app, launch campaign and social, and none of those write-ups involve an email sequence. I would rather tell you that than show you a number you cannot check. If email is the main thing you need, ask on the call and I will be straight about whether I am the right person for it.
Is email still worth it in the UAE when everyone uses WhatsApp?
They do different jobs. WhatsApp is immediate and personal, which makes it right for a hot lead and wrong for a fourteen-message nurture sequence nobody asked for. Email carries the long middle — the buyer six months out who is not ready to talk. Most setups here need both, with the CRM deciding which channel a contact is on.
Which platform do you work in?
Whichever one your CRM already talks to. I set up HubSpot, Zoho and Salesforce, and the email tool that matters is the one that shares a contact record with them rather than keeping a second list that drifts out of date. If you have no CRM yet, that decision comes first and the email tool follows it.
Do you write the emails or just build the sequence?
Both, and they are hard to separate usefully — the sequence structure is a writing decision. If you have a brand voice or an in-house writer, I will build to it and say where the structure is fighting the copy.
What do you need from me to start?
Access to whatever list exists, the CRM if there is one, and the sending domain's DNS. If any of the three is missing that is fine — it just changes the first task from writing to setting up.
Will you migrate an existing list?
Yes, and it is worth doing carefully rather than quickly. A list imported without its source and consent data is a list you cannot segment and should be cautious about mailing, so the migration is usually where the segmentation work actually happens.
How often should we send?
Less than most tools encourage. The right answer depends on whether you have something to say, and a calendar that demands a send every Tuesday will invent reasons. I would rather set the cadence from your actual launch and project schedule.

Still not sure if this is what you need?

Send it here and it comes straight to me. You will get a straight answer about whether I am the right fit, including when the answer is no.

Goes straight to me. I reply personally, usually within one working day.
